1. Cape Regional Credit Union Privacy Notice
This notice serves as our privacy pledge to you, a member, of Cape Regional Credit Union (We/CRCU). This notice informs you about what personal information we collect, and how we use it to make available high quality financial products and services to enable you to meet your financial needs and goals.
2. Important Notice about Member Information
Cape Regional Credit Union values the trust and confidence you have placed in us as your financial institution. We assure you that we remain highly dedicated to maintaining the continued privacy and confidentiality of your personal financial information.
As such, Cape Regional Credit Union and each affiliated company of CRCU, observes these practices and procedures described in this privacy notice. These companies include, but are not limited to Auto Services Companies, Inc., a provider of mechanical breakdown and extended warranty products for vehicles; and CUNA Mutual Group and Members Financial Services, a provider of various insurance and investment products and services, including Guaranteed Asset Protection. Other affiliated companies of CRCU include Harland-Clarke, a provider of check products; Liberty Mutual, a provider of insurance products and services; eZCardInfo.com, a provider of credit card services, and mortgage company referrals to members now and in the future which include, but are not limited to, the provision of the underwriting, servicing, and/or funding of mortgage loans for members of Cape Regional Credit Union.
3. Information We Collect About Members
Cape Regional Credit Union may collect non-public personal information, about you, a member, from the following sources:
- Information we receive from members on applications or other forms, such as your
name, address, social security number, income, and assets. - Information about members’ transactions with us, our affiliates, or others such as your account balance, payment history, credit card usage and parties to transactions; and
- Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency, such as your credit history and creditworthiness.
4. Information We Disclose About Members
Cape Regional Credit Union may disclose nonpublic personal information about you that we collect, as described above, to certain types of third party companies, such as those that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. This includes financial service providers, such as securities broker-dealers or insurance agents, which administer products and services we provide, as permitted by law. Also included are those companies that request verification of the existence and conditions of accounts. Cape Regional Credit Union follows standard financial banking practices and applicable laws, and we limit the information we provide to what is necessary to accurately represent your financial relationship with us.
Cape Regional Credit Union does not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you, our member, to anyone except as permitted by law. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our former members to anyone, except as permitted by law. CRCU does not disclose or sell member information to telemarketing companies. In the future, we may enter planned associations with other financial service companies to improve our ability to offer better products and services to you, our members. All future financial partnerships, with Cape Regional Credit Union, that include sharing personal financial information will follow the privacy practices described in this notice.
5. Our Security Measures for Members
Cape Regional Credit Union maintains the privacy of your personal information by using strong security controls to ensure the protection of nonpublic personal information in our files and computers. We continually maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal regulations to guard your non-public personal information. CRCU also upholds members’ privacy by limiting access to personal and account information to those employees who need to know the information to provide products or services to you or to those employees who may be responsible to maintain information security practices.
